Last Dollar Grants for Students
Since 2000, students residing in Troy, Ohio, have had the opportunity to apply for Last Dollar Grants (LDGs) to help fill the gaps in funding their tuition, room & board, and other college expenses. Many students rely on these grants to attend a post-secondary training institution or college. Students can apply annually within five years of high school graduation. Other criteria apply.
Since the year 2000, more than $905,000 has been awarded to more than 400 Troy students.

How the Scholarships are Funded
Foundation grants, individual donor gifts, and The Future Begins Today’s Strawberry “Sweet Heat” Salsa profits fund TFBT’s Last Dollar Grant program. Without funding received from the Paul G. Duke Foundation and our local community donors, these grants would not be possible. Each year, LDG recipients give back through community service projects in Troy, Ohio, and nearly 11,000 community service hours have been completed by our recipients to date.
