Volunteer with The Future Begins Today
Troy students succeed because caring adults across this community show up for them. Whatever time you have to give, there’s a place for you at The Future Begins Today.
Ways to Volunteer
Office Helper
Lend a hand behind the scenes with the day-to-day work that keeps TFBT running. From organizing paperwork to preparing materials for programs and events, office helpers give our small team the extra hands it takes to support 1,500+ Troy students and their families.
Lunch Buddy Mentor
Share lunch and conversation with a Troy City Schools student. As a Lunch Buddy, you become a steady, familiar face a student can count on, meeting weekly to talk, play games, and just be present. It’s a small time commitment with a lasting impact. This role requires a background check through Troy City Schools’ Board of Education.
Note: Lunch Buddy volunteers must pass a background check through Troy City Schools before being matched with a student.
Strawberry Jam & Salsa Festival Helper
Lend a hand at our signature community fundraiser. From set-up to sales to clean-up, festival volunteers keep TFBT’s biggest event running and support a fundraiser that funds tutoring, mentoring, and scholarships for Troy students all year long.
